The NTT DoCoMo in Japan has already announced Sony Xperia Z1 mini aka Xperia Z1f, a smaller variant of its flagship model Xperia Z1 and we already know what it will look like. But the question is, if the handset will make its way out of Japan or not.
The inadvertent listing of the rumored Xperia Z1s aka Xperia Z1 Mini international variant on its website has reignited the speculations of the company’s plan to launch it globally.
Though the company quickly pulled down the Xperia Z1s from the website hastily, after the report went viral. This is unclear whether the listing of the phone on the website and then removing it back was accidental or an intentional attempt to create excitement among the fans, like Google accidentally listed the Nexus 5 just a few days before its launch.
Xperia Z1f will have a 2.2GHz Snapdragon 800 series CPU, 16 GB inbuilt memory, 2GB of RAM, Adreno 330 graphic engine and 2,300 mAh battery. It will have a 20.7 MP rear camera with LED flash, 2.2 MP front camera and the phone will be water-resistant and dust proof IP55/IP58 certified.
When it comes to UI, there is not much difference in the Android 4.3 UI that Sony is using, when compared to Android 4.2.2 UI seen in the Xperia Z1 and Z Ultra.
Xperia Z1f will have the same hardware that was present in the flagship model Xperia Z1 and is the best among the Sony phones. The trading of the phone will be handled by NTT DoCoMo exclusively and will be available in Japan in the month of December.
