Electronic giant Sony kicked off its CES 2014 campaign this year by unveiling the Xperia Z1 Compact, which is a mini version of the flagship smartphone of Sony, Xperia Z1.
However, the Japanese manufacture remained silent about the expected price of the Xperia Z1 Compact but now as the device has been listed for pre-order in various parts of Europe, we now know the price of the device.
According to the pricing on some UK sites, the Xperia Z1 Compact will cost £449 which estimates roughly to be Rs. 45,500.
However, the smartphone is priced at €549 in France, Netherlands and Spain which roughly amounts to Rs. 46,200 in India and €499 in Germany and Italy, which amounts to almost Rs. 42000 in Indian currency.
Usually the European pricing is a little higher than the US pricing, and we can expect that the Xperia Z1 Compact will be a little lesser than the direct euro pricing conversion when it comes to India.
By considering the fact that the Xperia Z1 is currently priced around Rs. 40,000 in India, we can expect the Xperia Z1 Compact to be priced at a little less that Rs. 35,000. With every pre-order of the smartphone the company is offering the SmartWatch 2 and also a Sony Wireless Headset DR-BTN200M.
For people who are unaware, the mini-variant of the Xperia Z1 aka Z1 Compact, has similar specification as the Sony Xperia Z1 f which was released under Japanese operator NTT DoCoMo’s winter line up of smartphones in October 2013.
The Xperia Z1 compact features a 4.3 inch Triluminous HD display with a resolution of 720 x 1280 and with X-Reality for Mobiles. The phone is powered by a 2.2 GHz quad-core Qualcomm MSM8974 processor and also has 2GB RAM.
The phone has 16GB of inbuilt storage and can be further extended up to 64GB with the help of a microSD card. The phone is backed up by a 2300 mAh battery.
