It is high time now that Sony officially announced the release date of the much awaited next-gen console as every gamer out there has been waiting too long now.
Recently, it was notified by Sony that any pre-order after August 6 cannot be guaranteed delivery at the launch date, the date which has not been officially announced by Sony but rumoured by online retailers. But it is highly likely that finally we would get to know the PlayStation 4 launch date in a few days at the Gamescom 2013.

Sony will be holding a press conference at 6 pm BST where the company is going to tell its consumers and all the PS4 enthusiasts everything they want to know and most importantly, the official release date.
It has been officially stated by Sony, “We’ll kick off the show at 18:00 BST on 20 August 2013 with a briefing to media on our release plans for PlayStation 4, as well as updates on PlayStation 3 and PlayStation Vita.”
The expected features of the PS4 are an octa-core AMD processor with 8GB GDDR5 RAM and an AMD Radeon Graphics Card. Other specifications include 500GB storage, 2 USB 3.0 ports, 1 AUX port, Wi-Fi, Bluetooth 2.1+EDR and an HDMI port.
So now all we can do is be patient till 20 August and make sure not to miss anything.
