The two upcoming tablets by Samsung, the P900 and the P600, may form the basis for the Nexus 10 second generation which has been announced.
It is being rumoured that the Nexus 10 second generation would include a very powerful processor and would have a display resolution of 2560 x 1600 pixels, which is same as the present Nexus 10. It is likely that the dual core Samsung Exynos 5 chipset would be replaced by either the Exynos 5 Octa or the Qualcomm Snapdragon 800 processor.
It is highly likely that it would be the Snapdragon over the Exynos as there have been a lot of complains over lack of update support. Moreover it is more efficient and powerful. It will most likely run the Android JellyBean 4.3 OS.
However, Mobile Geeks has reported that the Exynos 5 Octa is still among the choice as it is much better than the Snapdragon 800 in terms of graphics. It is expected that a lot more information about the Samsung Nexus 10 2 would be revealed in the IFA Berlin 2013 which is scheduled to be held in 2013. It is also likely that Samsung would announce its two tablets too – P600 and P900.
If Samsung has plans to release the Nexus 10 2 sometime in October or November, then probably Google would have released the upcoming Android Key Lime Pie (5.0) OS and the tablet could feature that over the Android 4.3 Jelly Bean. The original Nexus 10 was released in November last year so we could be looking at a November launch for its successor.
