Samsung Galaxy Tab 3 vs Apple iPad Mini 2 retina display specs review and price tag

Apple recently released the iPad Mini with Retina display with a 7.9-inch display. While there are other competitions available in the market like the Samsung Galaxy Tab 3 8.0 with a 8-inch display. The iPad Mini comes with the Retina display which is considered as its best feature.

The Tab 3 8.0 actually had a sharper screen than the first Mini with a pixel density of 189 ppi compared to 163 ppi, but a Retina display doubles that to 326 ppi, making it so sharp that user can’t decipher the individual pixels.

The Samsung Tab 3 has a thinner design when compared to iPad Mini and also has a microSD card slot for expanding storage capacity which is not there in iPad Mini.

The Tab 3 has an IR blaster to use it as a TV remote with various apps. The Mini however isn’t made of plastic material like the iPad Mini and has slightly better battery life, a significantly better camera and comes in a Wi-Fi + LTE model when compared to the Tab 3.

The new Mini is available at $399 for the 16GB model, $499 for the 32GB, $599 for 64GB and $699 for 128GB. The Samsung Tab 3 is available for $300 and can also be available for discounts through retailers.

Apple promises up to 10 hours of surfing the web on Wi-Fi, watching video, or listening to music and up to 9 hours of surfing the web using cellular data network on the iPad Mini.
