Finally it is official news now. Samsung has announced that the next flagship smartphone by Samsung, The Samsung Galaxy S5 is all set to debut at the Mobile World Congress 2014.
It has also been confirmed that the tech giant will be launching the Samsung Galaxy S5 in the first quarter of 2014, however, there is no exact date specified.
Later it was almost revealed by Samsung’s vice-president of design strategy, Doon-Hoon Chang that the Galaxy S5 would be launched just after the MWC 2014 so that means sometime around end of February or early March.
It is also said that right from the debut the Samsung Galaxy S5 will be available in variants unlike a single phone as always.
The Samsung Galaxy S5 will serve as a base model for Samsung’s more premium upcoming Galaxy F range of phones.
While it is depicted in the video that in the Samsung Galaxy S5, the tech giant has included a diamond-dusting for the back and a flexible display, we will not be bewildered if instead of introducing these features in the Samsung Galaxy S5, the company chooses to introduce them in the premium F line.
Rumours are that the phone would feature a 64-bit processor and also an iris-scanner. Also there are rumours that the phone will feature a whopping 4GB of RAM.
Perhaps Samsung plans to hand us a mini computer and not a smartphone. The S5 is also rumoured to feature a 2K display.
All these specifications put together sound too good to be true. But all we can do is wait till the MWC to find out what does Samsung has in store for us.
