Samsung has always used plastic body for all its phones include its high end phones and this is the major reason of severe criticism of the design of these devices.
However, there are speculations that Samsung plans to launch its next flagship smartphone, Galaxy S5, with a metal body and alleged images of the device sporting a metal chassis have been leaked online.
It has been leaked by an inside source that the upcoming Samsung Galaxy S5 will feature a fully aluminum body and its entire design would be revamped and known as ‘Design 3.0’.
The frame measures 143.8 x 72.3mm, compared to 136.6 x 69.8mm for the current Galaxy S4 and 151.2 x 79.2mm for the Galaxy Note 3. This, leads to speculations that the Galaxy S5 will have a larger screen.
Also there have been rumors that the Galaxy S5 will feature a 2K display resolution with pixel density as high as 560ppi, which will be the highest pixel density seen in any smartphone.
Recently a video has been posted on YouTube which depicts the probable features of the Samsung Galaxy S5 and what design could it have. It is an unofficial concept prepared to blow off the iPhone and flaunts a curved display with super HD screen and a primary camera sensor of 16 megapixels.
According to the video, the new Samsung flagship phone will have a flexible screen, will have thrice the RAM of an iPhone and as mentioned already, a 16 megapixel camera with the ability to shoot videos as high as four times full HD, i.e., 4K videos.
It is still unconfirmed even in rumors that will the Galaxy S5 feature a 64-bit processor or not as recently an ARM executive spilled out news that the Korean tech giant had picked up its fancy new chip for 2014.
Samsung plans to release the Galaxy S5 as early as the first quarter of 2014. There have been rumors that we could be seeing an unveiling of the smartphone as early as January at the Consumers Electronics Show.
