Samsung Taiwan in an attempt to be sneaky released a video of a mysterious device on YouTube and described it as ‘just fit’, ‘just elegant’, ‘just fast’, just for you’ and ‘just simple’.
It was obvious that people will be led to think of this device, which had a brushed-metal back, LTE connectivity and a slim profile, to be either the Samsung Galaxy S5 or some new flagship device by Samsung.
However, when the device that is featured in the video was inspected more closely, a small inscription was found on the lower-right side of the device- ‘SC-02F’, which is the model number of the Samsung Galaxy J, a 5-inch high end device by Samsung that is currently available only in Japan.
A few flashy images of the device make it match the overall look and feel of the Galaxy J. Samsung has also teased a date of December 9th in the video by showing it off on the face of a Galaxy Gear smartwatch.
However, we are quite certain that this couldn’t be just a random date. Everything will be crystal clear coming Monday.
The Galaxy J that is available in Japan sports a Full HD 5 inch Super AMOLED display and is powered by a 2.26GHz quad-core Snapdragon 800 chipset.
The phone has 3GB of RAM and a rear camera of 13.2 megapixels with optical image stabilization. The phone has 32GB of internal storage which can be extended by a microSD card and also has a 2600mAh removable battery for power backup. There is no guarantee that the device that will be released globally will have the exact same specs.
