Peugeot 308 SW new features, specs review, and price tag


Peugeot, the French car brand launched the new 308, the company’s first model in the history to retain the name of its predecessor.

The company recently revealed the 308 SW and is expected to be publicized at the 2014 Geneva Motor Show in March.

Based on the recent reports, the new Peugeot 308 SW offers the class-leading capacity of around 610 liters.

The company has modified the structure of the car including its length, which is extended from 4253mm to 4580mm, following which the boot capacity of the car is increased by 140 liters compared to the hatchback.

The different engine variants of the 2014 Peugeot 308 SW will be carried over from the five-door hatchback consisting of BlueHDi variant, which will further help to bring down the CO2 emissions up to 85 g/m. The car is 140kg lighter now as compared to its predecessor, but still follows the same Efficient Modular Platform (EMP2) architecture used in the older version of the car.

The company has designed i-Cockpit layout of the 2014 308 SW in a way that it should help the driver to get efficient and enhanced drivability along with a clean environment.

The company has revealed that the car will go on sale with a range of Euro 6-compliant petrol and diesel engines that will also include a BlueHDi turbo diesel engine.

The new 2014 Peugeot 308 SW will be available with a price tag of $17,300 for the base model and the top model will be available at $21,065.
