The famous Perseids Meteor Showers which bagan July 22, 2010 will be in its peak August 12. The meteor shower is expected to be having at least 60 meteor per hour on the northern sky near the constellation Perseus.
The thin crescent moon on August 12 will provide an excellent view and show for everyone who will be watching the peak of the Perseids Meteor Shower 2010.
For those who will be watching the Perseids Meteor Shower 2010, Astronomers says that the best time is around 2:00am local time and up to daybreak. The planets Venus, Mars and Saturn will also be visible just after sunset on the same direction as the Perseids meteor shower.
To best see the Perseids Meteor Shower you are advised to stay away from bright city lights. The Perseids shower this August will be the strongest meteor shower this year and you should not miss it. On clear skies a maximum of about 90 to 100 meteors per hour can be seen. However if you are on a city you might only see about 10 meteors per hour.
