Last year in October something unusual happened. Everyone noticed the “out of inventory” message that was displayed alongside the 16GB Nexus 10.
This was not similar to the typical ‘out of stock’ or ‘ships in 2-3 weeks’ messages, and everyone was sure that the device is highly unlikely to return. And now it has been a couple of months since that incident and the device is still unavailable for sale at the Google Play Store.
Till yesterday the 32GB Nexus 10 was still available at the Play Store but things seemed changed this morning.
The listing of the 32GB Nexus 10 has also been changed to ‘out of inventory’ similar to the 16GB model.
While this does not imply that the device would not be restocked again, however, we doubt that there is going to be a big refill anytime in the near future.
The Nexus 10 was launched in 2012 and it is a long time for any device to run its course. Everyone expected the device to be refreshed with the Nexus 10 2 just at the same time as the launch of the Nexus 5, but this did not happen.
Long time rumors state that Samsung would be reprise their role as the manufacturer of the device, but other reports state that Google could opt for ASUS or LG after the success of the Nexus 7 and Nexus 4 and 5 both.
Still there has been no official announcement from Google about any refresh of the device, but as the nexus 10 has been completely labeled out of inventory, there is a good chance that at some point in the very near future, Google could be unveiling the Nexus 10 2.
