New Apple iPhone 6 rumors, specs, and release date

Apple is in a slightly strange position at the moment: it doesn’t have the smartphone with the fastest processor or the highest-resolution screen.

In fact, looking at specs alone, HTC and Samsung are giving the smartphone king a run for its money and making people think about the Android platform.

According to a leading website, Apple may release its new iPhone 6 smartphone device in the U.S. on September 20.

As, iOS 7, Apple’s new operating system is due for release in autumn, so one can expect it to come out with the iPhone 6. The next iPhone will be revealed at Apple’s scheduled press event on September 10, which takes place just 10 days before the new phone could be put up for sale.

Current specs that have been rumored for the new iPhone 6 includes an A7 quad core processor and a larger storage capacity. The iPhone 6 is rumored to come in 16 GB, 32 GB, 64 GB, 128 GB options.

Big-screen phones are the thing of the moment, with Samsung, Sony and HTC all opting for large, Full HD screens. Currently doing the rounds are the rumors that the iPhone 6 will have a 4.8 inch screen, which would make the phone similar in size to the Samsung Galaxy S4 and the HTC One. At this screen size, Apple could then move to a Full HD (1,920×1080) resolution or even go beyond.

Other rumored features of the phone include wireless charger along with retina + display and dual LED flash, while nothing has been officially confirmed by Apple. Apple always releases new phones on a Friday to allow people time over the weekend to go get a new phone, so, Sept 20 can be the date for the release of the iPhone 6.
