The Drudge report revealed on Thursday that Megyn Kelly, currently on maternity leave, will be replacing Sean Hannity during the 9pm daily prime time spot on the Fox News network.
The rumor, however, has not been confirmed by the Fox News. Kelly has performed exceptionally well with the gay issues. She is famous for ripping a homophobic guest into pieces during an interview.
TV news commentators are keen on knowing that how will the Fox News network manage to fit their prime-time talent into prime time. Fox news has signed log term deals with Bill O’Reilly for 8pm slot, Hannity and Greta Van Susteren for 10pm slot.
The Fox News Chairman and CEO, Roger Ailes, had earlier said that Kelly would be moving to a prime time slot. He however didn’t mention the exact slot Kelly would be holding.
It was the Drudge report that revealed that she is going to hold the 9pm slot. But Fox isn’t spilling the beans. A spokesperson from Fox said that no official announcement can be made right now.
Kelly joined Fox News in 2004 and has anchored “America Live” since February 2010. She has recently given birth to her third child. She has a strong on-air presence and is expert in getting the guests in her fair and balanced interviews.
Neil Cuvato said that Kelly is a great interviewer and a tireless worker. Hannity has tried to show a happy face. He said during a radio program that at this point all he can say is that he is happy.
