Lil Wayne, the American rapper recently became the victim of celebrity death hoax. The artist was declared dead on Facebook, one of the most renowned social networking site. The news popped up, after a video that said Wayne was found dead went viral.
One of the leading magazine reported the video which titled “R.I.P. Lil Wayne, Rapper Found dead” had gone viral on 16 December.
According to several reports it’s a scam and can cause viruses to effect computer systems, the origin of the video is still unknown.
The news about Lil Wayne being dead is just a hoax as the rapper is alive and doing well. The video which claims that the artist is dead can only be viewed when it’s shared on their Facebook page.
The rapper who was born in 1982 and suffers from epileptic seizures, has not become the victim of death hoax for the first time.
There were several reports earlier, this year which claimed that Wayne said that he had seizures, due to which he actually faced a death scare.
During an interview, Wayne said “The thing is, man, the bad news is, I’m an epileptic, so I’m prone to seizures,” “This isn’t my first, second, third, fourth, fifth, sixth, seventh seizure. I’ve had a bunch of seizures; y’all just never hear about it. This time it got real bad because I got three of ’em in a row, and on the third one, my heart rate went down.”
Adding on to which he also said that “Basically, I could’ve died soon. That’s why it was so serious. The only reason behind the seizures is just plain stress, no rest and overworking myself. That’s typical me, though.”
