Lee Thompson Young, former Disney star, 39, was found dead at his home in North Hollywood, Los Angeles on Monday.
His body was discovered by his landlord with a gunshot wound in his head. The actor began his acting career with Disney’s “The Famous Jett Jackson” and was also featured in the film “Friday Night Lights”.
Although no official cause of the death was found, but Young’s manager said that he tragically took his own life.
The police were sent to Young’s house when the actor failed to show up for work on TNT’s crime drama “Rizzoli and Isles” on Monday.
Police officer Sally Madera said that since the case is high profile, it is being investigated by LAPD robbery-homicide detectives and Los Angeles county coroner office.
According to TMZ the actor died from a self inflicted gun shot. Since the actor has not left any suicide note, his death remains a mystery. According to TMZ the actor did maintain s diary, but none of the writings explain the reasoning behind him taking his own life.
Young was last seen on Saturday. The police officials believe that he might have committed suicide on the same day.
Following Bachelor star Gia Allemand’s death, Young’s death is the second high profile suicide case this week. Janet Tamaro , the series producer, said that they are beyond heartbroken at the loss of such a kind-hearted, good and intelligent man.
Law enforcement officials told FOX 411 that they could not comment on Young’s death yet.
