It has been hinted by Apple CEO Tim Cook that Apple has some big plans for 2014. It is rumored that Apple is working on some new devices which include an iPad Pro and of course the much awaited iPhone 6.
Rumors say that Apple has plans of releasing a bigger tablet around October next year. It has been claimed by Digitimes that the new iPad will be manufactured by Quanta computer and will feature either a 12.9 inch or a 13 inch panel, with the 12.9 screen being more probable.
Other than a bigger tablet, it is also rumored that Apple has plans of releasing a larger sized iPhone around May 2014, which will feature a 20nm processor manufacture by TSMC – Taiwan Semiconductor Manufacturing Company.
If all this is true then the bigger tablet can serve as a comparable substitute for the 11-inch MacBook Air. Some big names like Forbes are referring to the bigger tablet as the iPad Max while most of them have titled it as iPad Pro.
Wall Street Journal has claimed that the upcoming tablet will feature a display resolution of 2732 x 2048 pixels.
Now coming to the iPhone 6, rumors are that Apple has been testing displays measuring 4.7 inches and even 5.7 inches.
This rumor was also supported by Wall Street Journal in July and Bloomberg also claimed in November than Apple would release two new iPhones in 2014. One would feature a 4.7 inch screen and the other will have a 5.5 inch screen. The rumor mill also said that the iPhone 6 could also feature an A8 chip with a quad-core processor.
For the time being all of these are rumors and we have to wait for Apple to shine some light on the truth.
