A contestant on the past season of “The Bachelorette”, Juan Pablo Galavis, will be seen in the 18th edition of “The Bachelor” which will be airing on ABC in January 2014.

Juan Pablo was a soccer player in Venezuela. He retired in 2009. He was also active in the music industry promoting bands and hooking then up with record producers in Miami. According to one site Juan Pablo is worth 1.2 million dollars. Juan Pablo has a four years old daughter.

“The Bachelor” begins production next month. Chris Harrison, Bachelorette host, says that although Juan was sincere in coming on the show, he does have some issues when it comes to commitment.

While talking to Chris, Juan said that he will mainly be looking for a person who can join him and his daughter. He added he is definitely looking for a mom for his daughter and a person he can spend rest of his life with.

With Juan Pablo being announced as the next eligible bachelor of ‘The Bachelor’, the show tends to break its image of Spanish and minority men being “ineligible” bachelor.

Emily Maynard who was crowned ABC’s Bachelorette few seasons back gave some tips to Juan Pablo. She said Pablo won’t be getting enough sleep so he should start drinking a lot of coffee and should ask a lot questions from the contestants and then based on their answers should follow his gut.

Juan, just like Emily, will stay in close touch with his daughter while filming.
