With Apple all set to release the all new iPad Air and the iPad mini with Retina Display in the Indian market on 7th of December, the price of the previous iterations have already been hiked on the official website. Though the price hike was expected, the reason behind the hike is still unclear.
The rumors about the launch of the new iPads in the Indian marketing emerged around mid-November and it was predicted that the 16GB cellular version of iPad mini will be increased to 30,900 INR while the 16GB Wi-Fi version will remain at 21,900 INR.
True to the prediction, the official site depicts these new prices now. The price of the iPad 2 has also been increased.
The prices of the iPad 2 had been dropped to INR 24,500 for the 16GB Wi-Fi version and the cellular version was dropped to 32,900 INR in April.
Now Apple has revised the prices again and set to the earlier prices which are 28,900 INR for the 16GB Wi-Fi and 37,900 INR for the cellular version.
However, the older models are still available at comparatively lower prices on e-commerce website Flipkart.
The predicted price for the 16GB Wi-Fi model of the iPad mini Retina is 28,900 INR and the 32GB, 64GB and 128GB may be priced at 35,900 INR, 42,900 INR and 49,900 INR respectively.
The cellular version of the 16GB iPad mini retina has an expected price of 37,900 INR, while the 32GB, 64GB, and 128GB have an expected price of 44,900 INR, 51,900 INR and 58,900 INR respectively.
On the other hand, the iPad Air with higher specifications has an expected price tag of 35,900 INR for the16GB Wi-Fi model, while the 32GB, 64GB and 128GB Wi-Fi only models would have a price tag of 42,900 INR, 49,900 INR and 56,900 INR respectively.
The cellular version of the 16GB model could have a price tag of INR 44,900, while the 32GB, 64GB, 128GB models might have a price tag of 51,900 INR, 58,900 INR and 65,900 INR respectively.
