iOS 6.1.3 Untethered Jailbreak could be on the way after iOS 6.1.4 update was released

As Apple recently released another update for the iOS, that is, iOS 6.1.4, possibilities of an iOS 6.1.3 untethered jailbreak for iPhone 4, 5s, etc, looks more and more likely.

It is also being said that iOS hacker Joshua Hill, aka p0sixninja had discovered amazing exploits and a jailbreak could soon be on the way through the newly announced OpenJailbreak project. But still there are doubts that will p0sixninja or Team Evasi0n roll out a jailbreak for iOS 6.1.4 or will they wait for the iOS 7 to roll out.

This OpenJailbreak project by p0sixninja is aimed at providing the open source he uses in creating his jailbreaks to people. Instead of looking for bits and pieces of his code which has been used by others in their projects (like redsn0w or sn0wbreeze), Hill wants to make everything easily available at one place.

If any developer or hacker wants to find any piece of code used. He can find it here. This would help hackers to develop new jailbreaks to be developed in less time and would lessen the load of crews like Jay Freeman, MuscleNerd, etc.

Hope was lost when Team Evasi0n said that iOS 6.1.3 jailbreak would not be released and everyone would have to wait till the launch of iOS 7. It is expected that the iOS will be released in the coming fall.

It is still unclear that Joshua Hill’s ‘bigger than jailbreak’ project is this or it’s something else. There are hints that it would be the bootrom exploit which would allow specific devices to be jailbroken no matter what the software version is.
