Rumours about HTC One’s successor, which was allegedly codenamed ‘M8’, are again making rounds on the internet.
All this hype has been created because of the allegedly leaked specifications of the phone and that too by the most reliable tipster @evleaks.
The HTC M8 smartphone is yet to be announced by the company but on Thursday @evleaks posted some of the specifications of the phone via a tweet. According to @evleaks, these are the preliminary specifications of the HTC M8.
The famous tipster has suggested in the tweet that the M8 will feature a 5-inch 1080p display and would be powered by the Qualcomm Snapdragon MSM8974.
The smartphone will feature 2GB of RAM and the new Sense 6.0 UI coupled with the latest version of the Android OS, KitKat.
It is also rumoured that the M8 will sport an UltraPixel rear camera which was already featured in the HTC One, however, the resolution of the camera is not specified. The front camera will be a 2.1 megapixel for video calling.
Some weeks back, Eprice which is a Chinese site had leaked some of the alleged specifications of the HTC M8 which included a Qualcomm Snapdragon 800 processor, 3GB of RAM and Sense 6.0 UI.
The website had also claimed that the smartphone will feature a 5 or 5.2 inch display and had also speculated that HTC will reveal the new phone at the MWC 2014.
But contradicting the earlier rumor by Eprice, @evleaks via a reply to the Twitter user Julie Birchfield said that the phone would be launched on all four carriers in US which include AT&T, Sprint, T-Mobile and Verizon and would be released by the end of March.
