Google Nexus 8-inch android tablet – Latest rumors, specs, and news

New rumors about a mysterious 8 inch device by Nexus have emerged again with the source being @evleaks. The Nexus 5 is codenamed LG D820 and LG D821, The LG G2 is codenamed LG D802 and the G Flex is LG DX6xx.

Having ruled out these, there is no conclusion about what the LG D830 could be, as the device has a display resolution of 1920 x 1080 and has LTE capabilities too. Neither this device is the Nexus 10 2 as it has the codename LG V510. So it leaves with nothing else but the Nexus 8, which is the rumored 8 inch tablet by Google.

Last time rumors sparked when the LG V510 was thought to be the Nexus 8 when it passed through Bluetooth SIG certification. However, a consensus was reached that this device was the Nexus 10 2.

Google has been opting for LG to manufacture a lot of devices lately which include the Nexus 4, the Nexus 5 and apparently the Nexus 10 2013 too.

So it is highly likely that LG would be manufacturing the Nexus 8 also. Another rumored device that could be revealed soon is the Nexus 6 for the phablet market and despite LG being favored by Google lately.

Some analysts think that HTC or Sony could get a shot at the Nexus 6. However, these are all speculations and without any official word there is no point getting our hopes up.
