BioWare studio recently released an update regarding Dragon Age: Inquisition, the eagerly awaited third installment of its popular Dragon Age franchise.
Dragon Age: Inquisition is an upcoming action role-playing video game developed by BioWare and published by Electronic Arts. It is a sequel to Dragon Age: Origins and Dragon Age 2, making it the third major game in the Dragon Age franchise.
As part of their status update, BioWare released a number of new screenshots from the game. The new screenshots came from the holiday build of Inquisition.
These holiday builds are a tradition at BioWare. Their development team tried to make a version of their game that’s as complete as possible so that fellow employees can try it out.
Electronic Arts should be publishing and releasing Dragon Age 3: Inquisition, which is being built on the Frostbite 3 graphics engine, in the autumn period of next year. The sequel to Dragon Age: Origins and Dragon Age 2 will be coming out on the PC, PS3, PS4, Xbox 360 and Xbox One.
Dragon Age: Inquisition is the first game in the series to use Frostbite 3, the engine behind Battlefield 4. Dragon Age: Inquisition will be set in Thedas, the fantasy world in which the two previous games are set.
The game will cover more geographic territory than its predecessors, with one map being described as four to five times the size of Ferelden, the setting of the first game in the series.
The developers said that the next game would likely be somewhere more French, which fans recognize as the land of Orlais.
