Chris Brown enters rehab for his anger management issues

Chris Brown has voluntarily entered rehab for his anger management issues and there is a possibility he could remain there for at least the next three months. According to an insider, the rehab facility has been told to take him apart and put his life back together.

There has been no specific time set for his treatment, but Brown has willfully agreed to dedicate as long as three months to his treatment.

It is unclear if and how will his rehab stint affect his forthcoming album X, that is due to be released on November 19. It had been reported earlier too that Chris Brown will be taking time off work and concentrate on personal issues.

A representative of the Grammy Award winning singer told the media that the singer has checked himself into a rehabilitation center in Malibu and is getting treatment for his anger issues.

A statement from Brown’s camp read, “His goal is to gain focus and insight into his past and recent behavior, enabling him to continue the pursuit of his life and his career from a healthier vantage point.”

He had been released from a jail in Washington D.C. on October 28th, where he had been locked up on charges of misdemeanor assault. He then flew back to Los Angeles to meet his attorney Geragos and reportedly with the L.A.

County Probation officials too. Brown was then dropped off by Geragos at a Malibu rehab facility. Brown has full support from his girlfriend Karrueche Tran and also from his mother.

He has to appear in a D.C. court on November 25, where he will fight the assault charges filed against him. If convicted, he faces 180 days in jail and a $1000 fine. Brown is still on probation for his 2009 assault of girlfriend Rihanna, and probation violence could land him four years of jail.
