2015 Chevy Colorado debut at the 2013 LA Auto Show

The 2014 update version of the Chevrolet Colorado will be coming to Malaysia under the name: the Chevrolet Colorado Muscle Edition.

This upgraded version of the car has already done on sale in Australia and Thailand and now it’s time for it to be released in Malaysia.

If sources are to be believed, the upgraded version of the pick-up truck will be displayed at a roadshow at Mid Valley Megamall’s Center Court from January 3 to 5 and the order books will also open at the same time.

The 2014 Chevrolet Colorado is being introduced in Malaysia by NAZA Quest Sdn Bhd, an associate company of NAZA Motor Trading Sdn Bhd which is a car distributor of Chevrolet brand, a car division of General Motors LLC. The associate company is circulating a brochure that reveals some information about the car.

This new Colorado version which is named as the Colorado Muscle Edition will be available with an option of 2.5-liter and 2.8-liter engine.

Both these variants will work on a manual transmission with a 6-speed manual. Hill Descent and Hill Start Control, and Trailer Sway Control are some of the safety features that have been introduced with this upgraded version, to enhance the safety.

The 2.8-liter version of the car is getting a second generation Duramax 2.8-liter turbo-diesel engine that is capable of producing a torque of 500Nm at 2000rpm and 193 horsepower.

To provide a better driving experience, the instrument panel’s Driver Information Center has been provided with the ECO Index and Statistics pages.

Also, a new premium MyLink infotainment system that works on voice command has been installed into the car.

The price and the date of arrival of the car are under the wraps and we will have to wait for some time, before we get any further information.
