Blizzard announced World of Warcraft Warlords of Draenor at Blizzcon 2013


Blizzard, the World of Warcraft developer has recently publicized a new expansion for its long-running massively multiplayer online fantasy game.

The game which returns to the beginnings of the WoW mythology, now adds a brand new area to the vast map by introducing new enemy types and raising the level cap to 100.

With the announcement of the new expansion, the players will also be able to build and upgrade their garrisons. Blizzard also promised the Fresh zones, dungeons, raids, scenarios and battlegrounds.

In the middle of the chaos of the company’s annual fan event, the launch of the new content took place.

Mike Morhaime, CEO and co-founder of Blizzard Entertainment, said in a statement that “Warlords of Draenor gives players a chance to take a commanding role in one of the Warcraft series’ most crucial conflicts,” and “This expansion also includes features that make it easy for anyone to jump right into the action, whether they’ve played WoW at some point in the past or are just setting foot in Azeroth for the first time.”

Blizzard also declared that Warlords of Draenor will introduce the refurbished player character models and animations, which at the same time, will bring legacy races like orcs and humans up to the graphical fidelity of newer arrivals.

Rob Pardo, the developer’s CEO, also made an announcement about the much-awaited card trading game, Hearthstone, which will be coming soon to Android, iOS as well as PC and Mac.

The CEO revealed that the title’s smartphone versions are in development phase but no release date was disclosed by him.
