Blackberry release BB OS update 10.2


Blackberry has released an update to its latest BlackBerry 10 OS, and there have been a number of significant changes and improvements in this latest 10.2 update.

Starting this week, the OS update will be rolling out to the Blackberry Z10, Q10 and Q5 smartphones in Africa, Asia Pacific, Canada, Middle East and Europe.

The users in Latin America will have to wait a little longer as they will receive the update towards the mid of November. No specific release date for users in the US has been announced, but it is definite that they will receive the update this winter.

A new feature known as the Priority Hub has been for important conversations that will learn from a user’s behavior and would display critical messages at the top of the inbox. Now users will be able to organize files and documents in a better way across all messaging accounts with the new attachment view.

A feature which is being called as ‘Natural Sound’ has been introduced within BBM Video that will make conversations between Blackberry 10 smartphones sound more realistic and natural.

Another new feature allows you to action toast notifications for BBM, SMS and Email messages. Now you can also preview messages in any open app. Users can now respond to BBM or normal text messages without leaving the app with just a single swipe. Better lock screen notifications have also been introduced.

The touch keyboard has also been improved with better audio feedback and distinct tones for specific keys like backspace and shift. File and media sharing has been significantly improved. Cursor control has been made more precise and so are the copy and paste options.

Last but not the least, better Calendar, Docs to Go, camera enhancements and a new Blackberry Hub icon has also been introduced.
