As Samsung released Galaxy Note 10.1 (2014 Edition) and Galaxy Tab 3, the Korean electronic giants managed to sell 40 million tablets in 2013

This year has turned out to be impressive for Samsung in terms of sales, not only for the smartphones, but also for the tablets it provides.

Recently Samsung released three variants of the Galaxy Tab 3 and then the Galaxy Note 10.1 2014 Edition. According to a report, the Korean giant has sold over 40 million tablets in the year 2013.

All this could happen because of the Galaxy Note 10.1 2014 Edition and also some other cheaper tablets. During the festive season these devices were available on heavy discounts.

There were also some promotional offers which offered the Galaxy Tab 3 7.0 for free. The manufacturer recently stated that they will be targeting more than 100 million tablets sales during the next year.

As the reports suggest, Samsung is planning to release a number of high-profile tablets which are expected to be launched during the CES 2014 in Las Vegas.

However, Samsung has not commented on the statistics. During the Samsung Analyst Day which occurred in November, the company revealed that they were looking forward to sell more than 40 million tablets this year. But according to a source the company has just passes the 40 million mark.

If all these statistics are accurate, these figures place Samsung on the second place in units after the iPad.

Samsung is all set to launch more of its devices in the coming year and it is seen than Samsung has some good plans for 2014.
