Apple iPhone 5S vs Google Nexus 5 review: Price, specs, and features


The Nexus 5 and the iPhone 5S have made the market really hot and I am sure you must be confused among choosing between both the devices. Both the devices are already out and we took out a little time to compare some of the significant features of both the devices.

Display and Dimension
The Nexus 5 has a 5 inch screen with a resolution of1920 x 1080 pixels and 445 ppi. The handset is only 0.34 inches in thickness and weighs only 130g. On the other hand, the iPhone 5 has a 4 inch Retina display with a resolution of 1136 x 640 pixels and 326 ppi. The iPhone 5S is thinner than the nexus 5 and stands at 0.30 inch thickness and weighs only 112g.

The Nexus 5 is powered by a Snapdragon 800 chipset with a quad-core Krait CPU clocked at 2.3 GHz. It has 2GB RAM and also a Adreno 330 GPU. It comes in two storage models – 16GB & 32GB. It has a battery capacity of 2300 mAh. Whereas, the iPhone 5S has a 64bit A7 processor clocked at 1.3GHz couple with a M7 coprocessor and a PowerVR G6430 GPU. It has 1 GB RAM and a 1570 mAh battery. The phone comes in three storage variants- 16GB, 32GB and 64GB.

Both the phones have 4G LTE support. The iPhone 5S offers only 802.11n Wi-Fi connectivity, while the Nexus 5 offer the much faster 802.11 ac. Both the handsets have Bluetooth 4.0 and GPS enabled. The Nexus 5 also has NFC connectivity while there is AirDrop in the iPhone.

The Nexus 5 runs the recently released, one of the best Android builds, Android 4.4 KitKat. The iPhone 5S also comes with the recent mobile operating system by Apple, the iOS 7.

The Nexus 5 16GB off contract model is available for $350 from Google PlayStore and the 32GB edition is for $400. However, the iPhone 5S without a contract costs $650 for a 32GB model.
