Android users around the world have been waiting eagerly for the much awaited Android 4.4 KitKat update on their devices. Recently, there has been some reports suggesting the arrival of 4.4 update on LG G2 in the first quarter of 2014.
LG, the South Korean multinational electronics recently revealed that the LG G2 will get the OS update around the end of Q1, 2014. Whereas, at the same time, Court Elliot, LG Canada’s Brand Coordination head also confirmed that the update will be rolled out simultaneously with all Canadian carriers.
This is obviously a good news for the people who own the device in other regions, as according to the company’s chief the update will be rolled out in Q1 for Canada and then the update will rolled out in other parts of the country. This update for Android OS is gaining the popularity and has been liked by several users, which makes the people more restless, who have not been able to receive updates for their old version of OS.
According to latest reports, people who bought the devices released earlier this year, have bright chances to receive Android 4.4 KitKat in Q1 2014. The devices which might get update in Q1 2014 are some flagships from major phone makers, like Huawei, Samsung Galaxy S4, Galaxy Note 3, HTC One, HTC One Max, Sony Xperia Z1, Xperia Z Ultra.
As soon as the update is rolled out, users will get a notification on their devices and as the update will be an OTA, it will require some simple steps to install the updated version of the OS.
