Android 4.4 KitKat download update for Google Nexus 4, 7, and 10

The popular nexus phones OTA to Android 4.4 is finally released after a brief delay caused by several serious bugs. It started rolling out very slowly a few days ago, but it wasn’t until now that the OTA zip files for the manual update are available.

However many of the Nexus 4 users along with Nexus 7 and 10 are still complaining for the lack of their Android 4.4, as they still haven’t got an appropriate update.

Nexus devices have always been praised and appreciated for being the first handsets to receive the android updates. Whenever a new version of any Android comes out, the Nexus devices get them very quickly and the update can be checked on Nexus phones by going into Settings and checking for updates.

Many users are already flashing the 239MB KRT 16S Android 4.4 OTA right now irrespective of the rooting/boot loader situation.

Android 4.4 is a pretty significant update, one that sees both UI changes and plenty of new features added. Icons are bigger, the app tray has been redesigned and Google now is a lot more influential in the OS. The Android version is available to specifically Nexus 5, Nexus 7 both devices, Nexus 10 and Nexus 4.

While many users welcome Android Kitkat 4.4, reviews state that the update are extremely slow and only slightly modifies the handset and includes several new features, many of them allowing for better Google integration.
