Earlier this week, at 2014 Detroit Auto Show, Ford’s new 2015 Mustang won the best production car award.
The decision was taken by the jury members, which included around 30 current and retired lead automotive designers.
The new 2015 Mustang features modern infotainment technology, all of them being integrated well into the modified center console.
Features included in the console are a large touchscreen and navigation or climate control adjustments.
Adding on to it, the stereo control functions are available on the steering in the new Mustang, the driver will also have the flexibility to adjust the cruise control, the hands free phone system.
Moreover, for the ease of the driver, the driver information screen is mounted between the large analog tachometer and speedometer.
Along with all the necessary control on the steering, the steering will also bear running pony logo made of chrome.
According to reports, the new Mustang will feature some hefty proportions of its predecessor. Whereas, the exterior dimensions of the new car are expected to shrink a little.
Retro style has also been used in the interior of the new car. Experts have also given good comments about the integration of the controls of the various high tech gadgets used in the 2015 Ford Mustang into a small and neat panel.
The company has also decided to stick to six-speed manual and auto transmissions. Whereas, the 5.0-litre V8 is capable of producing 420bhp/390lb ft will be upgraded to 500bhp within 18 months.
The company is yet to reveal the price of the new Mustang. But, the expected price of the car is around £30,000.
