The brand-new 2015 Ford Mustang is not just one of the most important automotive debuts this decade, but it might just be a really good car too with great power and new features.
It does not mean that the previous Mustang was bad, but anyhow it wasn’t just the styling that was retro, if compared to the new Mustang, which is finally an up-to-date car.
The new mustang is still powered by an iconic V8 engine, but this time it is the 5.0 liter ‘Coyote’ V8 engine carried over from the last generation.
The ‘Coyote’ V8 is now equipped with a new valve train and cylinder heads good for 420 rampant, which as a result produce an intense horsepower and 390 pound-feet of torque.
Along with it, the company has also decided to launch the all-new 2.3-liter EcoBoost four-cylinder, which churns out 305 hp and 300 lb-ft of torque.
All the engine variants in Mustang are expected to introduce new automatic transmission. It can be placed into manual shift mode and operated via paddle shifters behind the steering wheel.
The ford Mustang has independent rear suspension, which is almost similar to the other European Cars. The company has also opted for a double-ball joint MacPherson strut system in the front. The fancy new suspension setup provided by the car is coupled with a bigger brakes and a more rigid frame.
Ford hasn’t revealed much about the new Mustang’s cost, but at present one starts around $23,000. A convertible version will also be offered by the company.
