2014 Toyota 4Runner features, specs review, and price


Toyota, the Japanese automaker redesigned the 2014 4Runner SUV to give it a more masculine look, the all-new interior design combined with a more fitted with off-road capability makes the Toyota 4Runner one of the last and one of the best crossovers of its kind.

2014 4Runner is a truck-based midsize SUV with muscular body-on-frame foundations and with advanced off-road capabilities.

Toyota launched the original 4Runner in 2009, but now the company has updated the SUV with new exterior looks, refurbished interiors and more stability.

The 2014 4Runner SUV is powered by a V8, the current model comes only with a 4.0-liter V6 which is capable of producing 270 horsepower and 278 lb-ft of torque and is coupled with a five-speed automatic transmission.

Rear-wheel-drive is standard, and four-wheel-drive with one of two different two-speed transfer cases is optional.

The 2014 4Runner is rated as fuel efficient SV with the fuel efficiency of 17/23 city/highway mpg with RWD and 17/21 mpg with 4WD. The maximum towing capacity of the SUV is marked at 5,000 lbs.

Toyota has launched the 4Runner in 5 different levels which are SR5, SR5 Premium, Trail, Trail Premium and Limited trim levels.

For the safety of the occupant the company has equipped the 4Runner with dual front, front side, front knee and full-length side curtain airbags in addition traction and stability control systems and a tire-pressure monitoring system.

The New 4Runner is also equipped with Star Safety System ™, which consists of the Vehicle Stability Control (VSC) with Traction Control (TRAC), Anti-lock brakes Brake System (ABS) with Electronic Brake-force Distribution (EBD), Brake Assist (BA), and Smart Stop Technology (SST) brake -override system.

Toyota has launched the 2014 4Runner with a price tag of $32,820.
