Similar to the previous generation, the 2014 Honda Civic Si will be available as a sedan or a coupe. The new 2014 Honda Civic Si will be powered by the 2.4-liter four-cylinder I-VTEC engine which is currently found in the Honda Civic Si, but the in the new model it will be a bit more powerful.
With the launch of the 2014 Honda Civic Si, the Japanese auto manufacturer announced an enhanced exhaust system as well as some adjustments to the engine which has helped in increasing the engine’s output to 205 horsepower instead of 201 as on the previous model, along with the horsepower the Torque has also increased to 174 pound-feet instead of 170.
The 2014 Honda Civic Si which was revealed last week has a more aggressive style that sets it apart from the more mundane versions of the Civic.
Adding to it, the coupe receives a unique grille as well as a slightly different front bumper designed to differentiate it from the sedan.
The 2014 Coupe and Si Coupe also feature wider front fenders that are more aggressively arched and the side wing mirrors have also been given a new design.
The rear of both the versions features a diffuser that enhances the sporty look of the Civic Si as well as a larger spoiler. As a final point, with the launch of the 2014 Honda Civic Si, both the sedan and the coupe are equipped with new 18-inch wheels.
The company did not disclose the price or the release date of the new 2014 Civic Si, as the Japanese manufacturer is keeping this information for the Los Angeles Auto Show that gets under way in a few weeks.
