2014 Chevrolet Silverado 1500 is the first all-new and full-size pickup from Chevy in seven years.
Silverado is engineered to be the smartest, strongest and most capable Silverado ever. The new Chevy has a new trio of powerful, efficient EcoTec3 engines, a revised steering, suspension and breaks, a stronger, quieter and more comfortable cab with a true truck capability for towing and howling.
Silverado 1500 will join Silverado 2500 and 3500 HD pickups, Chevrolet’s three truck portfolio, designed to let customers select the right truck for their needs.
Jeff Luke, the executive chief engineer for full size and midsized trucks, says that truck customers are most discerning and demanding in the market and that the engineers who created the new Silverado also share the same passion for trucks. They have tested the truck to its extreme so as to give customers right tool for tough jobs.
The new Silverado 1500 is not just about looks. Its exterior design blends Chevy truck heritage with a refined, modern aesthetic.
As said earlier it features a family of three all new EcoTec3 engines, two V8 and a V6, built specifically for full size trucks.
The new Silverado has got SAE certified horsepower and torque ratings and it is estimated to be the final product which will be available beginning early next year. The chassis of the truck includes a number of customer focused updates.
The actual price of the vehicle will be announced as the start date of sale approaches but it is estimated that the Silverado Crew Cab will have a starting price of $32,710.
